A VERDANT, MAGICAL RETREAT FOR ALL SEASONS
Anyone who thinks a large plot of land is necessary for an exquisite garden experience hasn’t yet seen this UK courtyard by designer Adolfo Harrison. In the buzzing North London neighborhood of Highbury, Harrison built a leafy reprieve where you can ramble through multiple emerald-dotted settings—as if in a scene from Frances Hodgson Burnett’s seminal 1911 book, The Secret Garden—all within a quick urban stroll of the coffee shop and pub.
