Undeveloped Land
The lots of undeveloped land in Grey and Bruce counties vary as much as the landscape. There is extensive acreage for sale throughout the region, both landlocked and on the water. The parcels vary in size from thousands of square feet to hundreds of acres with some lots heavily treed and others divided from already cleared pastureland. Depending on the area, there is land zoned for agricultural, commercial and residential use.
Some of the communities to look at more closely for vacant land are in Owen Sound, Lion’s Head, Southampton, Saugeen Township and Port Elgin. These are areas with acreage that would be ideal for future building projects. As major commercial business centers both Owen Sound and Port Elgin have undeveloped lots that are zoned for commercial use, many of them within the downtown areas.
Lot in a New Development
The alternative to finding the right parcel of land, hiring an architect, and working with contractors and builders, is to choose a custom home in a community that is under development. Currently there are a number of luxury development communities under construction in the Grey Bruce Area such as the Shores of Bruce Peninsula, Lakewood and Greenough Harbour. All of these feature not only elegant home designs but also large lots, many of them on waterfront property.
I look forward to sharing with you the listings for vacant land and helping you get started in the process of building your dream home or cottage. Call me at PEAK® Point Real Estate Brokerage so that we can discuss your options.
